때문에, 사랑으로 Youth and Love

나의 청춘은 마치 물 속에 있는 것처럼 자유롭습니다.

때론 정체를 알 수 없는 해류에 휩쓸려 주체할 수 없는 감정이 나를 밑바닥까지 끌고 내려가

숨이 막히고 불안정해집니다. 동시에 그 해류를 따라 망망대해를 부유하다 보면

새로운 곳에 다다르기도 합니다.

새로운 것을 배우기도 하고 잊기도 하며 누군가와 진한 사랑에 빠지기도 합니다.

그러다 문득 내 주변을 둘러싼 모든 것들이 사랑이었음을 알아가고

때론 한 없이 깊은 외로움에 잠기게 되지만

그럼에도 더욱 더 깊은 넓은 바다를 향해 헤엄쳐가는,

나의 그리고 우리의 청춘의 다면적인 모습을 이 작품에 담아내고 싶었습니다.

이 작품 속에서는 의자를 오브제로 사용 합니다.

우리의 일상에서 늘 함께하는 소재인 의자를 이용해

우리의 사랑은 어디에나 언제나 존재하고 있음을 표현하고 싶었습니다.

또 의자를 오브제로서 사용한 이유는 의자는 다양한 이야기, 사연을 담고 있다고 생각했기 때문입니다. 첫만남과 이별, 기꺼이 자리를 내어주는 배려 등 많은 사랑의 이야기가 머물다가는 사물이 아닐까라는 생각에서 출발해서 무용수 혼자 이끌어가는 작품이 아닌 춤을 추는 무용수와 두 개의 의자가 함께하는 작품을 만들고자 하였습니다.

내달리는 시간 속에서 한 가지 가치를 지킨다면 그건, 사랑이었으면 좋겠습니다.

My youth is as free as being in the water.

At times, I'm swept away by currents of uncertainty, unable to control the emotions that drag me down to the depths, leaving me breathless and unstable.

Yet, as I float along with those currents, I also reach new horizons.

I learn new things, forget old ones, and sometimes fall deeply in love with someone. Along the way, I come to realize that everything surrounding me was love. Sometimes, I'm immersed in profound loneliness, but I still keep swimming towards the vast sea, eager to capture the multifaceted essence of my youth and our collective youth in this work.

In this piece, I use chairs as props. By using chairs, common objects in our daily lives,

I aimed to express that love is always present, anywhere and anytime. Chairs were chosen as props because they hold various stories and experiences. Starting from the idea that chairs might not just be inanimate objects but rather bear the stories of love, such as first encounters and farewells, or the considerate act of offering a seat.

If there's one thing worth preserving amidst the rushing time, it's love.
