고인물 Stagnant Water
눈앞의 소나기에 뻗은 손길이 닿기 전 이미 빗방울의 무게에 대해 느낄 수 있었다.
어느덧 점점 내 몸에 스며들기 시작하여 삶의 무게에 젖어 종착지를 향해 나아간다.
어른이 되어가는 과정을 ‘여행‘이라는 소재로 풀어 이야기 하고자 하며
개인의 순수한 열망으로부터 추구하는 환상이 자아까지 연결되어 지는 주제로
타자의 욕망이 아닌 순수한 자신의 것으로 끌리는 열정에 관한 작품이다.
우리는 시간의 흐름에 자연스럽게 모두 어른이 되어가고 있으며
이미 어른이 되어버린 시점과 어른이 되어 가고 있는 중 그 사이의 지점에 도달해 나아가는
형상화적 표현이 될 것이라 생각한다. 나에게 있어 어른의 지점이란 선택은 곧 책임이 따르게 되며
책임은 댓가를 치르게 되고 행동과 태도에 책임을 지어야 할 분기점에 다 다르게 되었음을 뜻한다.
이 분기점은 개개인의 욕망이 주체가 될 수 있어야 하며 개인의 욕구를 해소하고자 함이 아닌
순수한 열망으로부터 시작된 본연의 인간 본능에 충실 된 관점에서 바라본 ‘미적 욕망’에 대하여
다가가 보려고 한다.
작품은 스토리라인의 전개 방식이 아닌 움직임 자체 속 여행에 대한 의미를 부여하여
단순히 나아가려는 본능적 발버둥이 아닌 목적성을 가진 감흥의 끌림에 의해 발생 되는 반응들로부터 본인의 ‘환상 속 이상적 자아에 대한 만남에 도달 할 수 있을까?’ 라고 질문하는 이야기가 될 것이다.
Before the outstretched hand could touch the sudden downpour in front of my eyes, I could already sense the weight of the raindrops. Gradually, it began to seep into my body and moved towards its destination, soaking in the weight of life.
Exploring the process of growing into adulthood through the theme of a 'journey,' this piece seeks to tell a story where the pursuit of fantasies stemming from one's pure desires connects with the self, rather than being driven by external desires.
We all naturally evolve into adults over time, and we believe this piece will be
a figurative expression of the point at which we reach the intersection between already being adults and becoming adults. In my perspective, this crossroads of adulthood implies that choices come with responsibilities. Responsibilities come with consequences, leading to a divergence in actions and attitudes. This pivotal moment should be centered on individual desires, rooted in pure yearning, rather than seeking to satisfy individual needs.
The work doesn't follow a storyline development but instead imparts meaning
to the journey within the movements. It questions whether one can reach a meeting with their 'ideal self within the realm of fantasy' through reactions triggered by
a purposeful attraction, not just instinctive struggles to move forward.

2001년 창단된 LDP 무용단은 한국예술종합학교 무용원 실기과 현대무용전공 출신자들로 구성된
젊은 무용단으로 한국의 무용을 국제적으로 펼쳐나가려는 목적을 지닌 프로젝트 그룹이다.
LDP, founded in 2001, is a dance company composed of the Modern Dance graduates in the Dance Department at the Korean National University of Arts.
We aim to promote Korean dance on an international stage.
